  • Never have I felt so invited into a community and loved in that community. From day one I was invited into different communities, small groups, an outreach that helps struggling families getting back on their feet, and even was given the opportunity to serve on a short-term mission trip to Uganda with them.

I've constantly experienced genrosity and an amazing environment to worship day in and day out. The leadership is incredible!

Don't hesitate to come join us!!

  • Pastor Rick is an amazing man and leader. His preaching will move you deeply. This man loves the Lakewood community and I can feel it every time I'm around him. Go there! This church seeks to make Jesus famous in the Denver community and Pastor Rick's leadership is unmatched in any church I've ever visited. Love the people of Westwoods!

  • Amazing people. Amazing leadership. Amazing vision. A group of people choosing to live differently...to love God, each other and those around us above all else.

They don't have an elder among them that actually knows the word of God at all. Not one! They don't know scripture at all, and in fact, one of their elders believes he doesn't need to know scripture at all because he prays enough.

Preachers wife works for Colorado Christian university so they are heavily in bed with this Trump school who hosts "Trump" and his agenda. They will try to hide this fact from you if you probed further than "your wife works there?" Many of the congregation is made up of rich CCU elite kids and what this church is really for and after.

They also claim to be "non-denominational" but they don't have a problem claiming themselves under "Southern Baptists church" for insurance policies reasons. So much for "truth" and God hates liars though.

They hardly have/had any real mission work in their church outside of the preacher's kids African pet project they use for their own glory. They hardly do anything in the local community at all that isn't geared towards rich white elite stuff that was brought in by any of its own original members or people. The only person I am aware of that really does much of this within their church is breaking away because of their own neglect to members and the community. They still try to ride on the coat tails of this persons glory though instead of fixing the problems.

In fact, their food pantry and emergency shelters were initiated and brought in by outsiders, and none of it existed as a result of members from their core group or steady membership, although the woman who runs the pantry is now a steady member of their church. They didn't even want the food pantry in their church because of how much the floor was getting "scuffed" up, and wanted the woman who was feeding the poor to possibly deal with and pay for a new floor for them over time as it got damaged from them "having" to feed the poor.

Their disaster relief team is a bunch of rich kids with toys. They hardly deployed during the biggest storms ever hitting state of Colorado with all their equipment. They did not deploy once during any of the fires here that I aware of. They have a brand new expensive water pump for for draining water out of basements for floods, and it was never used once during the 100 year storm here in Colorado. In fact, the team would have hardly ever deployed if it wasn't for an outsider initiating it all.

Do not go here if you struggle with spiritual gifts. The church has no one in it that understands these things, how to deal with them, or how to support and walk someone through any of it. They will treat you like you are a liar and have nothing to do with it at all. They further don't believe most of the stuff that is mentioned in the bible if you were to actually walk into their doors and tell them it is happening to you.

DON'T GO HERE if you are poor, minority, struggle with any type of addictions, abuse survivor, low education, have any mental health issues, no family, lost, broken, or generally don't fit in well! This is a church that is made for stable middle class white and up wealth. They will take on people "less than" them, but they will be treated like a "project" or "charity" case instead of a human being. Their elders and members live in expensive houses on the side of bear creek trail, while they steal money from gentrification and the worst low housing shortage in the state of Colorado's history to pay for it all. Further, one of their church elders trains and teaches other members of their church how to do the same things rather than actually teaching them how to work with the poor. They are actually stealing money from American resources and people, and subsidizing those funds to go to people living in Africa instead of helping their own communities or people in it.
